Nesta's stormy spell

Step into the second magical adventure in the Nesta the Earth Witch series. Written for young explorers aged 3 to 6, this illustrated tale follows Nesta, Paisley the cat, and Bird as they ride across the skies to discover our planet's wondrous birds and learn the power of resilience, hope, and caring for nature.

A flight across the wild skies

Climbing aboard their twinkling green spiral-patterned magical star, Nesta and her companions journey across sweeping landscapes. From graceful buzzards high above the Welsh mountains to tiny hummingbirds nestled deep in tropical rainforests, they celebrate the majesty of birds everywhere—encountering colourful kingfishers, vibrant flamingos, ruby-red robins, and wise owls watching over peaceful fields.

Facing the icy Antarctic tide

The journey takes an urgent turn across the vast expanse of the Antarctic, where Rockhopper penguins struggle to protect their fragile eggs against rising sea levels. Along their travels, Nesta also witnesses birds under threat, including a swan forced to nest amidst plastic waste. Seeing their plight, she knows she must summon all her courage to protect the creatures of our fragile world.

A stormy spell of hope

When Nesta's initial magic fails to turn the tide, true resilience takes flight. Gathering all her earth magic, she whips up an incredible stormy spell that carries a vital leaf across every corner of the planet: "Look after the birds of the Earth, however you can!"
